[CSHP-UCSD] 16th Annual Phun Run Announcement

It’s that time of year again! The time of year where we celebrate the Phun Run and all work out in the name of supporting our favorite Free Clinics. We’ve all been stuck inside so let’s use this opportunity to get your run on and do the virtual 5k you can choose one of our suggested routes or any route you’d like!). If running/walking isn’t really your thing, don’t you worry because we have SIX different live Zoom workout rooms you can join, all led by your very own peers!

In need of a complete body routine? Georges can help you with that one. Need some mind and body practice with yoga? Karen will be sure to help you out. Maybe just a casual dance session is what you need? None other than our very own Norint and Anthony will be sure to get your body moving. We also have cardio with Khoa D., a kid's workout with Rosalyn, and a scavenger hunt with Thanh! In fact, we have something for everyone so be sure to spread the word to your families, friends, and anyone else you’re Zooming these days.

And of course, the Phun Run wouldn’t be complete without the famed Silent Auction, which will take place on Google Forms this year right directly after the live workout rooms. We have In-N-Out merchandise (including an In-N-Out blanket!), Sammy’s Pizza gift cards, a Din Tai Fung gift card and much more to be auctioned off! You won’t want to miss your chance to get some of these great items!

The theme is the lotus flower because despite the pandemic, like the lotus flower that blooms in the muddiest water, we can still come together for a good cause! It all takes place on Saturday, April 10th, with the Live Zoom workouts from 9-10am, the Silent Auction from 10-12pm and the 5k at whatever time suits you!

From now until March 15th it’s only $15 to register. You get a Phun Run cloth mask and race bib mailed to you! If you’re planning to run the 5k and really want a matching shirt to show off, for $8 you can get a shirt mailed to you too!
